Professional Statement
Brittany is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), licensed in Florida, Massachusetts, and Washington. She specializes in working with people who are struggling with OCD, using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)-  a highly effective, evidence-based approach to treating OCD and CBT for general anxiety and depressive concerns. She knows how overwhelming intrusive thoughts and compulsions can feel, and her goal is to offer support, guidance, and practical tools that actually make a difference. Therapy with Brittany is a space where you're encouraged to be yourself. No judgment, just real progress at your pace.

Brittany has most experience working with people who are struggling with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) or related anxiety disorders, such as Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Social Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, or Health Anxiety. They may also experience co-occurring symptoms of depression, perfectionism, or high-functioning anxiety that impact their daily life, relationships, or sense of identity.

The subtypes that she has most commonly worked with are Harm OCD, Perinatal/postpartum OCD, "Just Right," False memory OCD, Relationship OCD, Hit and Run OCD.

Message to clients
Brittany describes her approach as collaborative, compassionate, and structured. She has said "Using ERP, I help clients gradually face the things they fear while learning to sit with uncertainty and resist compulsions. I’ll always explain the “why” behind what we’re doing, and we’ll work as a team every step of the way. While OCD work can be tough at times, I bring empathy, honesty, and a little humor to help make the process feel manageable and supportive. You can expect to leave sessions with a better understanding of how OCD works and what tools can help you manage it more effectively. I will focus on helping you feel more in control of your thoughts and actions, and less stuck in the OCD cycle. My goal is for you to feel empowered  in your ability to handle whatever comes your way, not just during therapy, but long after."

Clients have described Brittany as very understanding, providing unconditional support, honest, and a person who helps hold them accountable.

“I want you to know I’m walking through this process with you. ERP is a gradual process. Some days will feel strong, others will feel draining, and that’s okay. What matters is your willingness to face the discomfort, not perfection. You’re not alone in this, and every step you take counts, even the tough ones. We’re in this together”
